Museum of the Future, Where the future lives

🇦🇪 United Arab Emirates.

The Museum of the Future in Dubai is an innovative and futuristic institution that aims to showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovations, and ideas. It serves as a platform for visitors to explore and experience future possibilities and contribute to shaping the future. The goal of this museum is to promote technological development and innovation, especially in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, announced on 4 March 2015 plans to establish the Museum of the Future after its February showcase during the Government Summit. On 22 February 2022, the Museum of the Future was officially opened at 7 pm Dubai Time.

The building is an architectural and engineering marvel. It confidently straddles the past and the future, applying advanced technology to traditional art forms. The building ‘speaks Arabic’: its facade is a canvas for the poetry of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum rendered in the calligraphy of Mattar bin Lahej. The first quote says: “We may not live for hundreds of years, but the products of our creativity can leave a legacy long after we are gone.” The second one reads: “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it and execute it. The future does not wait. The future can be designed and built today.”
